This newly funded project is for young people who have a love for all things related to media to enable them to express themselves, remove social isolation and use the studio to learn new skills in all aspects of interactive media; the option to gain a qualification is also available.
Fun activities encourage creativity. For example:
- singing
- song writing
- learning how to play new instruments
- creating lyrics
- rapping
- MC-ing
- video collage /film making
- graphic design
- drama
- dance
- sound engineering
- video editing.
The project is interactive, informal and includes motivational strategies to broaden Young People’s horizons and increase their aspiration for the future.
Themes they choose will give them a voice on issues that are important to them and which may impact on their transition to adulthood. Topics could cover drugs, crime, sexual health, grooming etc.
